Agency Video Producer & Editor Specialist

About the Role

NMCO Studio is seeking an experienced Agency Video Producer & Editor to produce
compelling video content for businesses, nonprofits, government agencies, and
organizations throughout New Mexico and the Southwest.
This role combines creative storytelling, production expertise, and strategic thinking to
develop multimedia assets that strengthen brands and drive audience engagement.
Working closely with the Creative Director, Account Services, Designers, and Web
team, the Agency Media Producer & Editor leads all phases of media production—
from concept development through post-production—while ensuring projects align
with campaign goals, timelines, budgets, and agency standards.
Editing is a significant portion of this role and is just as important as time spent behind
the camera.

Videography

  • Produce high-quality video, photography, audio, and multimedia content for
    advertising campaigns, branding initiatives, websites, social media, and digital
    marketing.
  • Collaborate with creative and account teams to develop concepts that support
    client marketing objectives.
  • Translate creative briefs into engaging visual stories that align with brand messaging.
  • Contribute creative ideas during campaign strategy and brainstorming sessions.
  • Plan and execute efficient productions from pre-production through final delivery for a variety of projects, including commercials, events, promotional content, and social media campaigns.
  • Pre-production, including handling talent, locations, contracts, and other
    production-related duties including writing video scripts, storyboarding, and AV
    scripts.
  • Work with clients and the team to conceptualize and execute visually compelling videos that align with project goals.
  • Operate cameras, lighting, audio equipment, and other tools necessary for video production.
  • Capture b-roll, event coverage, and marketing assets for multi-platform campaigns.
  • Direct on-camera talent and conduct interviews when appropriate.
  • Travel throughout New Mexico and surrounding areas for client productions.

 

Video Editing & Post  Production

  • Edit video content for commercials, documentaries, social media, websites, and
    digital campaigns.
  • Color grading, audio adjustments, transitions, and cohesive editing skills are
    required in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Lightroom, and Photoshop.
  • Develop multiple versions of videos optimized for different placements, formats, and aspect ratios.
  • Create short-form social media content from longer productions.
  • Incorporate graphics, licensed music, sound design, color correction, and audio
    mixing.
  • Ensure video content is optimized for multiple platforms and formats.
  • Export and quality-check content for television, CTV, OTT, YouTube, websites,
    and social media.
  • Adapt creative assets for multiple marketing channels including paid media,
    organic social, web, email, and presentations.
  • Organize media, maintain project files, and follow established production
    workflows.

 

Creative Collaboration

  • Collaborate with the creative team to develop concepts and scripts for video and photo projects.
  • Communicate directly with clients to understand their vision and ensure satisfaction with final deliverables.
  • Provide creative input and ideas during brainstorming sessions.

 

Equipment and Workflow Management

  • Maintain and organize video and photography equipment, ensuring it is in excellent working condition.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues during shoots and post-production.
  • Stay updated on the latest video and photography technologies and techniques.
  • Ensure all deliverables are completed on time and meet quality standards.

 

Client Relations

  • On behalf of the studio, build strong relationships with clients by understanding
    their needs, responding to feedback, and exceeding expectations.
  • Clearly communicate technical aspects of video in an approachable manner.
  • Provide guidance on how to utilize visual content best to achieve their goals.

 

Other Responsibilities

  • Assist with live-streaming projects as needed.
  • Support marketing efforts by creating engaging content for social media, website, and YouTube.
  • Take initiative in proposing new ideas to enhance visual storytelling for NMCO.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

4+ years of professional experience in videography

  • Demonstrated expertise in shooting and editing both video and photo content.
  • Proficiency with professional cameras, lighting, and audio equipment.
  • Advanced knowledge of Davinci Resolve Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro,
    After Effects, Lightroom, Photoshop).
  • Strong understanding of video editing techniques, color grading, and motion graphics.
  • Familiarity with file management and storage solutions for large media files.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with clients and team members.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to take constructive feedback and grow in the role.

 

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with drone videography and photography.
  • FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate or willingness to obtain certification.
  • Knowledge of SEO and optimizing visual content for digital platforms.
  • Professional-grade photography for events, marketing campaigns, product
    shoots, and other creative projects.
  • Familiarity with live-streaming tools and platforms.
  • Background in graphic design or motion graphics.
  • Creativity and a strong eye for visual storytelling.
  • Team player with exceptional communication internally and externally
  • Technical precision and attention to detail.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passion for creating impactful video and photo content.
  • Strong client-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering exceptional results.
